Product Overview

Peach-Resin Polysaccharides for Firming and Moisturizing Formulations

Noyain® PGP is a cosmetic ingredient system based on Prunus Persica (Peach) Resin Extract. Peach resin is a polysaccharide-rich material naturally secreted by peach trees. Through low-temperature gradient and ultrasonic-assisted extraction, the supplier process is designed to enrich the target polysaccharide fraction while managing viscosity, skin feel, and film-forming performance.

PGP is designed for formulators who want an immediate sensory and appearance benefit without limiting the concept to a transparent, oil-free base. The ingredient is readily soluble in water, can be used in clear aqueous products, and can also be evaluated in emulsions containing an oil phase. Supplier guidance reports synergistic behavior with acrylate thickeners and xanthan gum, which may help support viscosity and suspension while maintaining a refreshing, smooth after-feel.

For procurement review, PGP should be evaluated as a preserved aqueous blend rather than as 100% peach resin extract. The composition sheet lists Prunus Persica (Peach) Resin Extract at 6.0-10.0%, Water at 85.0-95.0%, 1,2-Hexanediol at 1.0-2.0%, and Ethylhexylglycerin at 0.05-0.2%. Confirm the latest batch COA, composition statement, MSDS, packaging, lead time, and market-specific documentation before commercial approval.

Why Formulators Choose Noyain® PGP

01

Immediate Firming and Smoother-Looking Skin

The polysaccharide film can create a perceptible tightening effect as the applied product partially dries. In a supplier-provided use test with 11 healthy participants, the measured wrinkle parameter improved by 12.33% and the roughness parameter decreased by 26.28% at 10 minutes. The strongest measured effect occurred at 1-2 hours, with an effect still observed at 8 hours.
02

Moisture and Water-Loss Support

Peach-resin polysaccharides have water-binding and film-forming properties. In supplier-provided instrumental testing, a 5% PGP aqueous solution was associated with higher skin moisture readings and lower transepidermal water loss readings across immediate and repeated-use measurement points.
03

Smooth, Refreshing Sensory

PGP is designed to provide a smooth after-feel without the pronounced tack that can occur with some high-molecular-weight polysaccharide systems. This makes it useful for firming concepts where the consumer should feel an immediate effect without an overly sticky finish.
04

Clear-System and Emulsion Flexibility

The material is water soluble and suitable for transparent water-based formulas. Supplier guidance also supports evaluation in oil-containing emulsions, expanding its use beyond oil-free lifting serums and gels.
05

Rheology Support

PGP can act synergistically with acrylate thickeners and xanthan gum. Depending on the base, it may contribute to viscosity and suspension, but the final rheology profile and thickener level should be established through lab testing.
06

Peach-Resin Ingredient Story

PGP gives brands a differentiated, peach-tree-resin-derived polysaccharide story for natural-origin-inspired firming and moisturizing ranges. Natural-origin, clean-beauty, sensitive-skin, and sustainability claims must still be reviewed against the final formula, documentation, and target-market rules.

The source presentation does not state the PGP concentration or full formulation used in this test. Treat these results as supplier-provided ingredient/application evidence, not as an automatic claim for every finished product. Revalidate the effect in the intended formula, dosage, population, and market before making a consumer claim.

Measurements
Skin moisture content and transepidermal water loss (TEWL)
Reported Direction
Higher moisture readings and lower TEWL readings versus baseline across measured time points
The source slide does not report participant count, exact numerical values, statistical analysis, or a vehicle-control comparison. The qualitative direction is suitable for technical discussion; quantitative finished-product claims require complete study records and formula-level validation.

Ingredient-Level Safety Screening

  • A human closed patch test used a 30% PGP aqueous solution on 20 participants. All 20 were recorded as negative, with no adverse reactions observed 24 or 48 hours after patch removal.
  • In a supplier-described chicken embryo chorioallantoic membrane test, PGP was applied for 300 seconds and no irritation or corrosion was observed.
  • The supplier presentation records passing results for an acute-toxicity cosmetic cell model, a corneal-cell test method, and a 3T3 phototoxicity cell model under the listed standards.
These ingredient-level results do not replace finished-product safety assessment, compatibility testing, preservative efficacy testing, or target-market review. For raw-material handling, follow the current MSDS, which classifies the supplied mixture as Eye Irritation Category 2 and Aquatic Chronic Category 4.

Recommended Applications for Noyain® PGP

Serum

Instant-Firming Serum

Use PGP in lightweight firming serums where a perceptible tightening sensation, smoother-looking skin, and a fresh after-feel are central to the concept. It can be evaluated with acrylate thickeners, xanthan gum, glycerin, betaine, sodium hyaluronate, peptides, or anti-aging actives. Check for pilling, film cracking, tack, and excessive tightness in the final use test.
Essence

Hydrating Essence or Toner

PGP is readily water soluble and suitable for clear, low-viscosity systems. In essences and toners, it can support hydration, smoothness, and a polysaccharide-active story. Confirm clarity, color, odor, pH, microbial quality, and compatibility with electrolytes and botanical extracts.
Soothing Toner

Firming Cream or Emulsion

Supplier guidance supports use in products containing an oil phase. In creams and lotions, PGP can be paired with squalane, ceramides, mild emulsifiers, humectants, and skin-conditioning actives for firming and moisturizing positioning. Evaluate emulsion stability, viscosity drift, rub-in behavior, and final skin feel.
Sheet Mask

Eye-Area Serum or Cream

The supplier's immediate-use test measured the appearance of fine lines around the eyes, making PGP relevant to eye-area firming concepts. Final eye-area safety, migration, irritation, packaging, and claim substantiation must be evaluated in the finished product.

Use Level

Evaluate PGP at 2-10% according to product format, target sensory effect, desired claim direction, thickener system, and cost target. A 5% aqueous solution was used in the supplier-provided moisturizing test, while the immediate wrinkle/roughness test slide does not disclose the test-product concentration.

Solubility and Pre-Mixing

PGP is readily soluble in water. It can normally be added directly to the water phase or pre-mixed with part of the batch water under moderate stirring. Confirm uniformity, clarity, and air-entrapment behavior at pilot scale.

Addition Phase and Temperature

Add PGP below 60°C. For heat-processed emulsions, cool the batch to below this temperature before adding the ingredient, then mix until uniform. Avoid unnecessary prolonged heating after addition.

pH

The supplied material has a pH specification of 4.0-7.0. Confirm finished-formula pH, long-term pH drift, color, odor, viscosity, and active performance under accelerated and real-time stability conditions.

Rheology and Oil-Phase Compatibility

Supplier guidance reports synergy with acrylate thickeners and xanthan gum and indicates that the ingredient can be used in emulsions with an oil phase. Treat any thickener reduction as formula dependent. Run rheology curves, centrifuge testing, heat-cool cycles, and packaging compatibility before scale-up.

Compatibility Precautions

The MSDS lists strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, and strong bases as incompatible materials. Screen reactive actives, extreme-pH systems, high-electrolyte formulas, fragrances, botanical colors, preservatives, and packaging interactions in the final formulation.
